Welcome to UROPAC!

Urology's Advocate on Capitol Hill

Further demonstrating the physician-led nature of the AACU and UROPAC, UROPAC Chair Jeffrey Frankel, MD, recently explained the PAC's renewed commitment to have urologists deliver checks to candidates at local events, when politicians are free from DC's many distractions.

UROPAC staff stand ready, Dr. Frankel said, to help urologists schedule office visits, brief meetings over coffee, and even local fundraisers – Whatever the particular physician may be most comfortable with.

About In-State Meetings
In-district meetings promote the development of long-term relationships and position you as a trusted advisor on health care issues. Oftentimes, it is easier to meet with your Representative or Senator by visiting his or her district or regional office. Arranging a group meeting can improve your chance of a face-to-face meeting. You are therefore encouraged to pair with other urologists, physicians and residents in your area.

About Practice/Family Visits
Elected officials spend a great deal of time in the districts they represent. Site visits are, quite simply, the single best way to help elected officials and their staff understand the connections between DC policy issues and what’s happening in their district. Site visits to your hospital and/or medical clinic provide mutual benefit and generate real learning.
